Aircraft Timeshare - Buying a private jet can be a great investment. Not just monetarily, but also in terms of service. Learn the difference between fractional ownership and a private jet and how Airshare can determine the best solution for you.
Think of a fractional ownership (or rental) as a time-share scheme. You buy the part of the plane you need to use, usually at 1/16 interest. Unlike our competitors, we use a day model rather than an hourly model. This model gives you 20 days of travel per year with unlimited hours*. With unlimited flight hours per day, Airshare customers average 100 hours in the air, while our competitors limit their customers to 50 hours in the same 1/16 share.

Another advantage of flying our split schedule is that the aircraft and crew are with you around the clock when you need them. Therefore, you can use it for as many stops as you want and need. You will also not be charged extra for off-peak days. And when you start and finish in the same place, your hourly rate drops to 35%. Like a timeshare, you share the monthly expenses with other tenants. With fractional ownership of an aircraft, you can rest easy knowing you can split the costs among the other shareholders in the aircraft.

Another added benefit of fractional ownership is that you can buy a fleet. You may own a fraction of a tail number, but this ownership gives you access to most aircraft within the fractional fleet. Our fractional fleet consists of the Phenom 300 and Challenger 350. In addition, our program allows customers to switch between certain aircraft. Better yet, if maintenance is provided by a designated plane, you have a plane that can get you where you need it.
A fleet share is an alternative to purchasing or leasing a fleet share. Think of it like buying your own home. You are financially responsible for all aspects of the aircraft, including purchasing the aircraft, hiring and paying pilots, insurance, hangar costs, maintenance, monthly overhead, fuel, and more. Aircraft purchases are generally recommended after you plan to use the aircraft for at least 100 days (or 250 hours) per year. If you want to buy a plane, but only need it part of the time, you can offset the costs by letting a flight management company like Airshare use your plane. Chartering an aircraft can generate additional income to help cover overhead costs.
If the purchase of an aircraft is the solution you choose, the support of professional management, internal or external, is essential. Aircraft are complex machines that require experienced professionals (eg crew, mechanics) to ensure safety and reliability. If you want to go this route, Airshare has a dedicated team of experts to help you find the right flight for your needs.
Private Aviation Benefits Whichever option you choose, private aviation gives you greater control and peace of mind. Both owning an airplane and having fractional ownership gives you the freedom to go where you want, when you want. Some benefits:

Here's a look at your top options.
Commercial plane owners and their lawyers are trying to figure out how to pay for flights on their planes. Solutions include: (a) strict compliance with FAA requirements; (b) efforts caused by negligence or careless errors; (c) intentional and willful violations. If the FAA had the resources and authority to investigate how commercial aircraft owners and operators harm their passengers, we would be surprised to find that (b) and (c) are common.
In theory, the problem is easy to solve: get your own Part 119 charter airline certificate so you can get what you want. However, you and your aircraft must meet the certification requirements and operate under Part 135 regulations; and getting certified is a very time consuming process. Start the process today and you could be certified by 2021.
The Growing Popularity Of Private Jet Charter
An alternative is to add your reagent to someone else's certificate. If your aircraft is equipped for FAA Part 135 operations, you can do so within a month, the local FAA Office (“FSDO”) cooperates, and the certificate holder does everything possible. But working on a charter is not a picnic. First, you won't be flying; you will be a certificate holder and will not work for free. It will also pay (or collect) a federal transportation excise tax of 7.5 percent on all amounts paid by passengers. And all flights will be subject to more regulations and stricter operating restrictions.
Wouldn't it be great if you could just let people fly on planes without having to deal with all the gibberish of Part 135? Actually, you can, but that's where all the numbers start.
The options are not extensive and, with the exception of private pilots and special provisions, such as transportation of elected officials, are mostly covered by FAR 91.501. However, even this regulation has more esoteric applications, such as aerial photography and choir conducting. When it comes down to it, if you want to charge a third party to use the plane, the primary option is a timeshare arrangement.
Airline timeshare is not the same as Bermuda timeshare. Instead of being based on calendar time like condo time, the agreement may be for specific flights, or the lessee may request flights from the lessee, depending on aircraft and crew availability. Although the FAA considers a timeshare to be a "wet" lease, a lease in which the lessee provides the pilots and operates the aircraft to fly, timeshare agreements are generally not the same as leases. A lease is a transfer of ownership of an aircraft from lessee to lessee, but a timeshare agreement provides the same service as when you buy a plane ticket.
Best Private Jet Companies For Your Personal Charter
A big advantage of the Time Chart is that you can charge for it, although the FAA limits the amounts. Basically, you can get double the actual "time chart" fuel costs, plus certain additional charges listed in FAR 91.501(d), such as crew travel expenses. Also, for reasons better known to itself, the FAA has always maintained that the party reimbursing costs, the lessee or "timeshare," must be a corporation or "company."
Dual fuel costs are a far cry from what you might pay for a charter, which is to say, what you can get. But with fuel prices rising, so did the idea that they could make money by sharing a plane. In fact, if you use the variable hourly costs of a Conklin & de Decker Hawker 900XP and scheduling costs such as meals, you can earn around $400 per flight hour by carpooling. the price of gasoline is $4.50 per gallon. Do you want to do more? Find a place to buy more expensive gas because you are eligible for double payment
